Golf Accessory Finish Approval Checklist

CS
Published: Aug 1, 2026

A finish name is not a complete specification. Before approving a metal golf accessory, identify the substrate, geometry, decorated surfaces and mating parts. Then agree what the sample must show and whether the order requires separate performance testing.

Start with the Substrate

Material and forming route are reviewed together for the accessory design. CS supports die casting, stamping, CNC machining, etching and casting routes. Not every route is suitable for every material, detail or assembly; confirm the proposed route before tooling or sample approval.

Mark the Surface Requirements

Specify the areas for plating, antique treatment, polishing, brushing, sandblasting, enamel, printing, laser engraving or resin doming. Provide colour references and define gloss, texture and graphic boundaries through an approved sample. Review matching pieces together when the finish spans a set.

Separate Appearance from Performance

Check that the finish does not interfere with the marker seat, clip, screw, rivet or strap connection. Visual approval does not prove corrosion resistance, adhesion or coating thickness. If tests are required, agree the method, conditions, locations and acceptance criteria before sampling; results apply to the confirmed project specification.

Submit the Approval Inputs

Send the drawing, material direction, marked finish areas, artwork version, matching parts and any test requirements. CS reviews the sample and production route against those inputs. All dimensions, tolerances and performance values follow the approved drawing, sample and order requirements.
